Watching the Snow

We got about 8 inches of snow this morning and Lars was very interested in watching Rob Andrews, the neighbor who plows our driveway on his ATV.

Lars 7 months, 80 pounds

Larsy is a lovely puppy - still has a wild side but is so fun and sweet...when he isn't putting his giant teeth on us. He is obsessed with the frisbee, is a great hiking buddy, and is slowly becoming more trustworthy in the house. He is great with all his commands and our trainer can't believe how obedient he is for his age. We'll take it!

Getting so big that he's outgrowing the back of my Subaru...though he loves his nest back there.

Frisbee Dog

Keep in mind that 5 1/2 months ago, Lars was getting his first frisbee lesson...awww...

And now look at him! Growing like a weed and completely focused (read: obsessed) on the frisbee.

And...ACTION!

Lars the Thief

You want this letter that I just stole off the table?

Just try and get it!

Look! No leash!

We're now able to hike with Lars off-leash [Boulder has lots of trails that allow dogs to be on voice and sight command]. He absolutely loves it, gets much more exercise as he runs circles around us, and is so much happier...so am I...getting dragged around by an 80 pound dog isn't that fun as much as he "tries" to heel.

You coming? Just checking.

I know you have treats in there!

Let's play!

While My Mom Was Working...

I took the liberty of getting on the couch while my mom was working with her IT consultant upstairs...I match the couch and pillows perfectly, so why wouldn't I be able to rest up here?

Big Snow: October 2009

Much to my dismay we got a giant snowstorm in October...over 30 inches at our house. Lars just loved it - he's a total snow dog - these photos are from our favorite park...snow up to Larsy's belly!

Now where's that frisbee?
A new-found friend.

This is MY frisbee.

Larsy's First Snow

We got about six inches of snow today...way too early for me but Lars loved every minute of it. It was super cold, too, but he didn't seem to notice...he did drive us nuts all day by crying at the door to go out.

Frisbee is way more fun in the snow.

Faster than a speeding bullet!

Good view of all his giant teeth that are coming in.
