Larsy's First Snow

We got about six inches of snow today...way too early for me but Lars loved every minute of it. It was super cold, too, but he didn't seem to notice...he did drive us nuts all day by crying at the door to go out.

Frisbee is way more fun in the snow.

Faster than a speeding bullet!

Good view of all his giant teeth that are coming in.

Watching Deer

Lars is becoming very protective and very aware of what's going on outside. He barked this morning to let us know about all the deer in the back driveway, and proceeded to sit on the couch and watch them for a solid fifteen minutes.

Keira's [early] Birthday Hike

I forget all my manners at the beginning of every hike and pull like crazy...

I have learned to skillfully drink from a camelback.

Post-hike snack in the back of the Subaru.

Please may I have some water?

Check out this giant stick!

Delicious little toes. These cute feet belong to Shannon, my friend Brendan's daughter. Lars really, REALLY wanted to nibble on her feet.

Thank Goodness for Bones

Lars has officially lost all of his baby teeth but his need to chew hasn't lessened...thankfully he loves to munch on bones! Sometimes he gets lazy and chews "hands-free" - I like to tease him that it looks like he has a cigar in his mouth.

Early Fall Swimming

To say that Lars loves swimming is an understatement. We've been taking him to the Boulder Reservoir frequently, and as soon as we pull into the parking lot he begins to cry and bark. He never gets tired, but does start to shake from the cold water after a while! Getting him to leave is nearly impossible...
